Ft. Hudson School class photo (2)
This is the 1917 class photo for the olf Ft. Hudson School in Dyersburg, TN. The boy sitting on the end of the bench is Rufus Presley (my great-grandfather). The two boys on the end are (L-R) Marvin and Wortham Presley.
Aside from the three named, I have no idea who any of the rest of the students in the photo are.

Harry Marlin & family
According to the writing on the back, "Harry Marlin and family". I've received information from a cousin who is thinking this is probably Harold Dean Marlin b. 1880 s/o James Hamilton Marlin that died 1919 in Fair Dealing MO. and mother was Rhetta Ward died 1901 Ripley MO. This is Harry and his first wife, Esther Ann Parks. Harry Dean Marlin's father was James Hamilton Marlin was the nephew of Henry Marlin that m. Hettie Logan.
This came from the photo collection of Hillas and Eloise Brockett. Hillas was born and started life in White County, Illinois in 1900, was in Stoddard Co., MO by 1910 and settled with family in Cross Co., AR by 1920. The photo is most likely from either Illinois or Missouri. It is likely that this photo was originally owned by Hillas' sister, Effie Brockett Joiner, who lived most of her adult life in Parma, Missouri. The photo was probably passed to Hillas when Effie died.
Who is this family? Are they related to the Brocketts? Are they from White County, Illinois?
People in photo include: Harry Marlin and Esther Ann Parks

logging camp
This is near a logging camp, most likely somewhere in New Madrid County, Missouri. The man in the center with no hat is John Henry Mosley (1871-1937), but I don't know the rest. The Mosley family lived in Parma, New Madrid Co., MO in the 1910 US census and had settled in Cross County, Arkansas by the 1920 US census. This photo was an old photo postcard among about 6 from the Mosley family.
Who are the rest of the men in this photo? Presumably, they're all loggers from the New Madrid County, Missouri area.

Bat Web Brockett
Edwin Batterson Web "Bat" Brockett, born Jan. 24, 1852 in White Co., Illinois. Married Margaret Ann Clark and moved to Cross Co., Arkansas where he raised 5 children, Joseph, Arch, Marshall, Effie and Hillas.
After looking at this photo for a few years and comparing it to another photo I have of Bat's family, I'm suspecting this might actually be Bat's father Nathaniel, but aside from a guess, I can't really be sure.
