Charles Elmore Palmer
This is my father, b. 28 Feb. 1919 in a dugout in Baca Co. CO to Elmore Hugh and Margaret Ormiston Palmer. He was raised in Liberal, Seward Co. KS. He fought in WWII with the 300th Combat Engineers in Europe. He married Lorene Hight in 22 Nov. 1945 in Arkansas City, Cowley Co. KS. My father died 7 March 1973 in Arkansas City, Cowley Co. KS.


John Newton Palmer
This is my g-grandfather, John Newton Palmer, b. 1846 in London, Madison Co. OH. He was the son of James Harvey and Arabella Cryder Palmer. He married Mary Catherine Cross in Dewitt Co. IL. He moved on to Marion Co. KS in 1870 and died in Liberal, Seward Co. KS in 1930. He is buried at Marion Cemetery in Marion, KS.

Samuel was born in 1803 in Hightstown, NJ. His father, Jacob, moved the family from NJ about 1812 to Campbell Co. KY. Samuel married Nancy Thompson in 1825 in Cincinatti, OH. Just before the Civil War the moved to Miami Co. IN. He died in Cowley Co. KS in 1887.
