2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Ed & Fred Tyree, Twin Brothers
Ed F. and Fred E. Tyree were born 7 July, 1897 in Bedford, Lawrence Co, Indiana to Robert H. and Rebecca Tyree. They had four other brothers, John I., Joseph L., Ralph B., and Cloudy C., and three sisters, Nora Ellen, Nancy J. "Nannie", and Edith C. Ed and Fred both served in World War I, but only Ed served overseas. He was in the Argonne Forest Campaign in France and was gassed with, it is believed, mustard gas. Ed married Iona Quackenbush and Fred married Vonnie Virginia Pierce.
