LaVeeda "Kaye" Cardwell was born to Gilbert Herman Cardwell (1926 - 2006) and Mary Grace "Mittie" Flick (1894 - 1970) on February 28 1959 in McLennan County, Texas. She was welcomed by her older brother James, sisters Mary Ann and Caroline Sue Jester and brothers Ricky Allen,, Jackie Gilbert Herman, and John Wesley Cardwell. She gave birth to 2 daughters, Jeri LaNan Maricle and Tabitha Kaye Lynch. She was married to A.L. Maricle Jr, Lewis Harry Lynch, Michael Armentrout, and Jay (Jerry) Lee Carnline. She was a cosmetologist by trade but also was employed as a waitress, bartender, small business owner, and custom home builder. Kaye loved with all her heart and anyone who crossed her path loved her beautiful smile, quick wit, gypsy free spirit. She loved God, family, music, fishing, traveling. She lived life as hard and to the fullest she could. She loved learning from others experiences as well as her own. She knew no strangers. Love, loyalty, and respect were her words to live by.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Robert C Messerli ( PawPaw Bob) married my grandmother Mittie G Flick(Mickey) in 1987 at my aunt Sue Parsons home in Golinda Tx. He was a welder by trade and traveled the USA welding for a company named skyline. He survived a major heart attack in 1995 which led to his leaving Skyline. He volunteered as a maintenance worker at Providence hospital in Waco, TX. He was fun, loving, smart, and someone our family was blessed to have as an addition. He was an avid fisherman. Loved boating, bbqing, music, and traveling. He passed away April 15 2005 after incurring complications from outpatient surgery of his carotid artery at the very hospital He volunteered for. His wishes were for his body to be donated to science and with whatever remained to be cremated and for his remains to be spread over my grandmother's grave in Waco TX. We weren't his first family and I believe he was married before my grandmother and also had 1 or more children.
