Benjamin Goldfeld was born into a Jewish-Polish family. After the invasion of Poland by Nazi-Germany, he stayed in Będzin (Poland) where he worked as a shoemaker until he got enslaved in 1942 by the Nazis for his Jewish heritage. He survived the KZ Blechhammer and Buchenwald where he was liberated from enslavement. After short stays in Elsleberg, Theresienstadt and Karlsfeld he settled down in Dachau to work. 1950 he applied for emmigration from Germany to the US with his polish fiancé (name unknown). His sister emigrated to Tel-Aviv, Israel.
