This is a picture of Laura Helen Caldwell born Feb 1875ish. Laura was the daughter of of Susan Janette Caldwell and Fremont Caldwell of Wyandot Ohio. Laura married Maurice McGann (or Biggane, Began, Megan) who was born in Ireland, raised in Tiffin Ohio. Laura had 3 children, Harry, Madelon & Ralph. After Maurices death in 1919, Laura moved back to Ohio and married Royal Hilborn. The children stayed in San Francisco.

He was born at Dec. 22, 1820 in Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD and died in Sept. 06, 1889 in Nevada, Wyandot Co., OH and is buried in Nevada Cemetery, Eden Twp., Wyandot Co., OH.

He had two wives: Sarah Ann CREAGER then Sarah Jane DOYLE.

Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 16 August 1862 at the age of 41. Promoted to Full Lieutenant 1st Class on 22 August 1862. Enlisted in Company H, 123rd Infantry Regiment Ohio on 25 August 1862. Promoted to Full Captain on 03 February 1863. POW on 15 June 1863 at Winchester, VA. Escaped on 09 February 1864 at Libby Prison, Richmond, VA [through tunnel]. Returned on 30 March 1864. Mustered out Company H, 123rd Infantry Regiment Ohio on 24 July 1864. - - - Captain David S. Caldwell wrote "Incidents of War and Southern Prison Life".
