2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

A photo of Annella, a nurse in Iowa - circa 1930's? She was a friend of my husband's great aunts who were nurses in Iowa for many years.
I'm guessing at the time period. Can someone confirm an approximate date based on her uniform?

Bede Farrell was born circa 1882, and died at age 32 years old on April 24, 1915. Bede Farrell was buried at Ypres (menin Gate) Memorial Panel 21 And 31. in Belgium. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Bede Farrell.
Adrian was wounded in the leg, face, hands and neck but eventually succumbed to gas gangrene as a result of a piece of shrapnel in his leg. The leg was amputated but too late to save him. He was wounded almost a year previous to his death but his parents were told that he was recovering. He died in the Queen Alexandra's Hospital, Millbank London (20 John Islip St) which is now part of the Tate. His brother Bede also died.
