Robert Lee Kabrich
I never met "Grampa Shorty",Robert Lee Kabrich. Due to a drinking problem he was divorced from my Grandmother who later died in childbirth delivering a baby that was conceived with her new man. I hear that Lee sobered up later in life and I like to think he died sober. He was from St. Augustine Florida and fathered my Uncle Harry Lee Kabrich who I also never met. I understand that my uncle Harry died in WI on Sept 11, 2013 and that he left 8 cousins I have also never met. If anyone can put me in touch with this branch of my family tree I would be so grateful.

Christmas circa 1900
Christmas around 1900: A photo of a young girl looking up a chimney entitled "where Santa Lives."
I'm sure that this is a staged portrait but what a wonderful picture of Christmas around the turn of the 19th century!
