About me:
Hi Ancient faces people! I'm Kris from northern california mountains. I am interest in genealogy but don't know how to trace my lineage. I look forward to meeting like minded people.
About my family:
From the Ramsaur side of the family, ancestors come from north carolina. My great grandmother was a puritan who, in her younger years helped harriet tubman assist the slaves to escape through the underground railroad. On the Sandstrom, come from Sweden and settled in Nebraska. They had traveled with the Donnor party and some with the neadertalls and those traveling with sacakaquia and the trail of tears. Some settled in canada.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Grandpa was a Navy seaman and had met my grandma, Ilene Ramsaur who worked in an airplane hanger making eating utensils, canteens, etc to ship to the men overseas. They later married and had 3 children, one who had died shortly after birth. I don't remember her name. Surviving were William and Susan Ramsaur. Uncle Bill from Morgan Hill had married Mary and had no kids but loved there cats. Susan had met Jon Sandstrom at the Heaigt ashbury, began dating and married with 2 children, Josh and me!
Grandpa and grandma were both very active in the Trinity County Gem and Mineral Society and took frequent trips to Arizona and the like to participate in other gem shows. Both were prominent citizens of the community and greatly missed but remain remembered fondly by family and friends
