This Portrait of William Dawson Spicknall was taken at about the age of 1 while residing in Dearborn Co., Indiana. William Dawson Spicknall was the son of Leonard Thomas Spicknall and Mary Spicknall (Whitaker).

Spicknall Brick Home: Talmage, Nebraska
The homestead of Leonard T. Spicknall and Mary Spicknall (Whitaker) in Talmage, Nebraska was, accoring to family lore, the first home in town to be made of bricks. This is because Leonard T. Spicknall was the local brickmaker. It is said that his bricks helped build many of the towns buildings.
