Jefferson was my grandfather; I shared a room with him almost till he died. He was elderly when I first remember him and a bit cranky, by then my grandmother had been dead over 10 years, his health forced him to live with us so I can understand him a great deal more. He was a good and loving man, who couldn't accept being old and helpless, feelings I'm all too aware of now.
