About me:
I'm the oldest offspring of John Whitcomb Hiller (Hellar) & Cathryn Marie Mason Hiller. I have 3 male siblings, Jeffrey Whitcomb, Mark Elden, and John Edward. I am the mother of 1 son, Forrest Whitcomb.
The major surnames in my family are Whitcomb, von Szendeffy, Hellar, Slaydon, Mason, Dyer, and Wilson. I have been able to trace my Whitcomb Ancestors to the 15th Century England. They were among the 1st Immigrants to New England. We have two ancestors who came across on the Mayflower, Edward Winslow and William Bradford, in 1620. Then in the 1630, the Whitcomb branch landed near Plymouth, MA.

Daughter of John Whitcomb Hiller and Cathryn Hiller ne'e Mason born at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Georgia in 1959. I have 3 male siblings. There is only 5 years between me and my youngest sibling. We lived all over the country during my 1st 5 years then settled in the Southern Maryland/Washington DC area, where I completed my 1st 12 years of education.

Sarolta Katinka (Von Szendeffy) Hellar of El Monte, Los Angeles County, CA was born on January 23, 1911 in Budapest Hungary to Katherine "Kate" Whitcomb and Elamier Bela Von Szendeffy, Dr.. She had a sibling Viola Maria Von Szendeffy. She was in a relationship with Slayden Jack Hellar, and had a child John Whitcomb Hiller. Sarolta Hellar died at age 76 years old on December 5, 1987.

John Whitcomb was my 9th Great Grandfather on my paternal side. I can trace my lineage in a direct line through my father, John Whitcomb Hiller, to John Whitcomb.
John Whitcomb arrived in Colonial America in 1634, landing in the Plymouth Colony. He had a tractor of land in the Scituate, Massachusetts where he built one of his homes, which he gave to 2 of his sons, Robert and Whitcomb.
