Did His Share: .A photo of George William James Allamby. George was a Heavy Artillery Gunner in the R.A.A joining on 28 September 1942. Then he transferred to R.A.A.F on 27 September 1943 until the end of war. He was a Leading Aircraftsman. George survived the war.

Buried in Grave 419 Section Z Church of England. Also in same grave are- Jane (West) Allamby. Jean's mother. Lionel Harcourt Allamby(child). Jean's cousin Alfred Allamby (adult). Jean's grandfather Alfred Allamby (child). Jean's uncle It was not unusual for cousins, grandparents etc to be in the same grave.

VICbdm B/C No. 4124/1912 VICbdm D/C No. 1952/1912 Died at 3.5 months of age.

Jean is buried with her mother and 3 relatives in the one grave.

Buried in same grave as following- Jane Allamby(his aunty). 1885-1922 Jean Victoria Allamby(his cousin).1911-1912 Alfred Allamby(his father). 1856-1916 Lionel Harcourt Allamby(his cousin). 1911-1912 Grave 419 Section Z C of E Section. Unmarked Grave.
Coroner's Inquest 1916/638. he was working in a gravel pit at Clyde near Cranbourne, Victoria. James died on the train taking him to Melbourne Hospital. He was pronounced deceased by an attending doctor on train betweeen Cranbourne and Dandenong. The age of 55 is purely speculative by police and witnesses. He was not known to any of them.

VICbdm D/C No.6834/1916. gives age at 55 years. This was just a guess by police and witnesses. No one knew him personally. He was travelling from farm to farm looking for work. He was buried in the unmarked public grave section of Springvale Cemetery. VICbdm B/C No. 18009/1874. Coroner's Inquest No.1916/638 Prov.
Sarah Jane (Booth) Wilson of Canterbury, VIC Australia was born in 1864 in Fitzroy, and died at age 90 years old on August 2, 1955 in Collingwood, Yarra City County. Sarah Wilson was buried on August 4, 1955.
