James came to Australia and settled in the Horsham, Stawell area. He started his life here as a Coach driver. At some point in time early on he met and married Hannah Jane Laidlaw from Liverpool U,K. They had many children. Hannah is buried at the Williamstown Vic cemetery. At some point they must have separated? James and Hannah's first some was Edwin James. I have his gold pocket watch from his retirement rom the railways and Lillydale Vic. James is my Great great great great Grand father.
