Tyson, Mildred Winifred Lund (Mrs. Harold Canfield) (fem) 10.mar.1895-sep.1989 USA Illinois, Moline - ?NY Otsego, Unadilla
soprano singer, organist, pianist, choirmaster, 1918-1925 BM in composition with Carl Beecher and Arne Oldberg and voice with Walter Allen Stults from the Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois, studied composition at Columbia University in New York City and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY and followed a summer course at Ithaca College, studied voice with Edward Meyer in Los Angeles and Frederick Bristol in New York City, taught piano and voice at Pomona College in Claremont California, 1930-1934 residing at Tompkins Avenue in Mamaroneck Westchester NY, 1935-1940 at 428 Carroll Avenue in Rye Westchester where she was soprano soloist at the Episcopal Church in Mamaroneck, 1948-1982 residing in Unadilla where she was organist/choirmaster at the Congregational Church in nearby Sidney ; daughter of cabin maker Oscar Frederick Lund (Sweden, Fellingsbro 18.jul.1851-1923 Moline) and Helen M Anderson (Sweden 6.nov.1860-17.sep.1918 Moline) ; 1928 she married public school principal Harold Canfield Tyson (Unadilla 13.dec.1898-9.may.1974 Unadilla) ; daughter Barbara (NY 1930-)
