She was born Marion Christina DeSarro on July 16th of 1933 in Roslyn, N.Y. She was known by all as Christina. Her father was the famed artist and illustrator Rodney DeSarro. Her mother's name was Genevieve. Christina lived for a time in California with her mother and step father after Genevieve and Rodney had divorced and Genevieve remarried to a grocer in Stockton, California. Christina went to the University of the Pacific and relocated to New York in the 1950's. Christina then graduated from the Southampton Hospital School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse. She married Lloyd Stanley "Duke" Dull in 1961 and adopted two children. Lori-Suzanne was born on July 7th of 1964 and Victoria Elizabeth was born on July 18th of 1969. Christina and Duke divorced in 1973 and Christina moved back to Manhattan where returned to school at New York University and worked at Sloan Kettering. She suffered from diabetes and went in for diabetic retinopathy surgery in early December of 1983. She died on December 15th of 1983 after complications suffered during the application of anesthesia during the procedure. She is buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Southampton, N.Y. Christina was a Roman Catholic.

Rodney was an illustrator, cartoonist and artist whose work ranged from pencil sketches to full color illustrations, paintings on canvass, and cartoon strips. His best work was found on the cover of numerous magazines and newsprint editions, such as Saturday Evening Post, Esquire Magazine, and Vanity Fair. Rodney emigrated from Italy in approximately 1909 and he lived most of his life in Roslyn New York, where he died on March 12th of 1988. Rodney was twice married. First to Geneva Valente with whom he had three daughters; Tisbe, Dorothy, and Marion Christina DeSarro (1933-1983). Rodney is the maternal grandfather of author, historian, and filmmaker Lori-Suzanne Dell.
