Antonietta was born in the beautiful Italian village of S.Mango Cilento. She was one of 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She emigrated to NY in the 1950s. At first, she lived with her uncle Salvatore. She studied English and dressmaking. She was a wonderful dressmaker and cook. After her uncle passed away in 1960, she met and married widower, Alexander Kaborycha in July 1961. Their only daughter, Maria, was born in May 1962. Although she never divorced Alex, due to religious reasons, she was separated from 1968 to 1975. They reconciled briefly from 1975 to 1978. At the time of her untimely death in 1982, they were separated, but still married. She loved her family in Italy, her one sister in Venezuela, her many friends and especially her only child, Maria. She believed in the good in people and was a very strong and dedicated Catholic. When Antoinetta made her legendary Sunday dinners, neighbors would knock on her apartment door to ask about the delicious fragrances and what she was cooking. More often than not, she would offer a sample of her delectable cooking.

Alexander Kaborycha of Central Islip, Suffolk County, NY was born on February 17, 1910 in Minsk, Minsk Region Belarus, and died at age 74 years old on April 23, 1984. Alexander Kaborycha was buried at Long Island National Cemetery Section T Site 851 2040 Wellwood Avenue, in Farmingdale, Ny.
