I met SFC Shomo in Vietnam. He was my Platoon Sergeant. An outstanding leader and mentor. I had the pleasure to ride in Combat with him on the Anh Khe Pass and Ban Me Thout pass. Very brave. He called me and Indian name because of a mistake I made. So he called me Ishkish. It had something to do with me being misplaced. A great man, leader and Choctaw Indian(People).
