2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Aloysius Roman Kowalewski was the child of Cecelia Antoinette Rossen (1892-1956) and Anthony Kowalewski (1888-1973). He was born on June 21, 1914 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He had three siblings, Joanna Martha (1911-2002), Frank Anthony (1916-1984) and another brother. He married Mary Pronko (1921-2008) on October 31, 1938 in Scott Township, PA and had three children, Mary Lenore Kowalewski (born July 17, 1959 in Butler, PA), Nola Cecelia (Kowalewski) Ferarro ( born October 6, 1953 in Miami, FL), and Aloysius Anthony Kowalewski (born 1955 in Butler, PA). He was the best father. He joined in and encouraged his children's hobbies and desires. He worked hard to take care of his family but was also very fun loving. He danced like Fred Astaire, drank like Dean Martin and wanted to be an actor.
