2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Eugene was the elder son of Eugene F. Colleran of Jessup, Lackawanna County, PA. His mother was Marggaret Walsh, a nurse, from Minooka, Lackawanna County. He was born on his parents' first wedding anniversary. He had one sister, Carol, who married James McHale and moved to Camp Hill and a brother Raymond who was a juvenile probation officer in Scranton, Lackawanna, PA and later the warden of the Lackawanna County prison. He married Lucille Janet Moran, daughter of Cyril and Regina Long Moran on June 1, 1957 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel on Taylor Avenue in Scranton, PA. Margaret Colleran died in December of 1967 and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery near Harrisburg. Eugene F. died on January 18, 1980. He named his daughter, Carol McHale executrix and left the entire estate solely to her. A codicil reminded his sons that they would receive nothing because of considerations in the past. His aunt, who died in September of 1980, left her entire estate to Carol McHale, brother Raymond and numerous great nieces and nephews. The will was written prior to Eugene's death but specifies that no widow or widower of her Colleran collateral descendants would be entitled to the deceased'c share. .
