2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

John C. Lavender
A photo of John C. Lavender, my Maternal Great Grandfather. John (Clark?) Lavender was born in 1827(?) in England and died in 1892 in the Town of Johnstown, Fulton County, New York. He was twice married. His first wife was Sabra Duell who may have died in child birth in August 1858. He then married his second wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith (my gt. grandmother) together they had 15 children which included 3 sets of twins. My maternal Grandmother, Lillian May Lavender was child number 14.
