About me:
Michael Lester Lance of Spring, Texas. My Lance family has deep roots in Southern Indiana from 1815 on. My gr-gr-gr-grandfather John Lance was born in Kentucky about 1794 and migrated to Gibson County, Indiana and married Sarah Lathom there in 1815. Participant in the Lance Family group of the FamilyTreeDNA project. Member of: Society of Indiana Pioneers, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, Pike County, Indiana Historical Society, Gibson County Indiana Historical Society, and Kentucky Historical Society.

Lester Lance photographed while serving with the U.S. Navy in late 1948. Lester was on active duty with the Navy from November 1948 to November 1952. He served on: the USS Tappahonnock (AO-43), USS Catamount (LSD-17) in the Korean theater, and the USS Canberra(CA-70).

Lester Lance of Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI was born on October 17, 1929, and died at age 74 years old on January 25, 2004.
