Arnold Emil Drewelow was born on December 29, 1919, to Wilhelm William Henrich Otto Drewelow Sr. (1893-1969) and Frieda Wilamena Ernestina Schulz (1902-1994). He was the eldest of 12 children.
Arnold helped his father on the farm until he was drafted into the army at the start of World War II, where he rose to the rank of sergeant. After the war, Arnold worked with a blacksmith in Clinton, MN, learning the trade. He eventually saved enough to open his own blacksmith shop in Milan, MN.
He loved hunting with his brothers, learned to fly a plane, crafted beautiful wooden bowls, and enjoyed exploring the trails around Phoenix.
Arnold Drewelow passed away at his home in Apache Junction on December 14, 1991, just shy of his 72nd birthday.
