Agnes was born to James Francis Lynch and Margaret ann Gunning. She was the oldest of 4. She later Married James Dorris. She worked as a Nurse.


James Dorris was born to Daniel Dorris Sr. and anna Mollahan. He was the oldest of 5 kids. He later Married Agnes Lynch and had 9 kids: James Dorris, Rita Oborski, John Dorris, Mary Cragle, Daniel Dorris, Samuel Dorris, Thomas Dorris, Patricia Kryzniewski, and Kathleen Van Auken. He worked as a Paymaster up until his death in 1950.

Matilda Was a great woman. She was born in West Nanticoke Pennsylvania to Joseph Harris and Tillie Kamanski. She was the oldest of the 8 kids. She later MArried Daniel Dorris and Had 4 kids: Susan, Daniel, Dave and lisa.

Daniel James Dorris, 87, of Nanticoke passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Nanticoke on Oct. 27, 1921, and he was the son of the late James and Agnes Lynch Dorris.
Daniel graduated from Harter High School in 1940. He also attended Wilkes-Barre Business School.
He was a sergeant in the Army serving in World War II.
After his discharge, Daniel was employed as a Greyhound Bus driver for 37 years, without one accident. Oh, those bus stories!
He was a member of American Legion Post 330, VFW, FOE and the Nanticoke 400 Club.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Matilda Rose Harris Dorris; brothers, James, Samuel and Thomas; sisters, Rita O'Borski, Mary Cragle and Patricia Kryznewski; grandchildren Tiffany Szczucki and Joseph Ruse and a infant son, James.
Surviving are his daughters, Susan Ruse and Lisa Antonik, Nanticoke; sons, Daniel, Nanticoke; and David and his wife, Cynthia, Drums; grandchildren, Bridget Balliet, Nicholas Szczucki and his wife, Sara, Nathan Szczucki and his companion, Alek, Robbie Huffman and his companion, Lea, Tonia Huffman, Ariel and Angel Dorris, Julianna and Abby Antonik; and great-grandchildren, Angelina, Mickayden, Achilles, Baby Robbie and Maximus; a sister, Kathleen Van Auken, Kingston; a brother, John Dorris and his wife, Lucy, Chase; and his best friend and neighbor, Bernie.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
