2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Danny Emmel, 1965
A photo of Danny Emmel, Son of Victor. Danny and I were classmates at Concordia High School, Concordia, KS and graduated in 1965. We often walked home together after school because we both lived at the far end of east 11th street - I in the 400 block and Danny in the 700 block. We made quite the pair as I was the tallest girl in the class and Danny was one of the shortest guys.
Years later when I attended one of class reunions someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked for a dance. You guessed it, it was Danny, only this time he towered over me. We had a good laugh about that and I was sorry to hear of his passing in 2010 as I was looking forward to seeing my friend at our 50th class reunion next year. Rest in Peace, my friend.
