Mary Edwards
Mary Edwards, second daughter of William Edwards (1784-1868), (the last Chamberlain of Waterford) and of his wife Elizabeth (who died 1833), daughter of William Owen, (a glazier who was granted the Freedom of Waterford in 1791) and of his wife Elizabeth. Granddaughter of Eaton Edwards the Second, (1733-1796). Mary was of a generous and kindly disposition, whose campassion for the poor matched that of her husband Eaton William Waters (1819 - 14 Sep 1870). She was widowed in 1870. She died in 1914, a year before the deaths of her two elder surviving children, Bessie, and George, both unmarried. Her younger son, Eaton William married in 1918.
