Ruth Bowling (Bowling) Parsley was born in 1898 to Lucinda (McFadden) Bowling and Alex Bowling, and had a sister Mary (Bowling) McCowan. She was in a relationship with Charles Parsley, and had children Barbara (Parsley) McCracken, Edna (Parsley) Langley, Beulah Faye (Parsley) Caudle, Kenneth Parsley, Dora Kathleen (Parsley) McFadden, Charles Conrad "Cub" Parsley, and Hayward Parsley.
