Sanford Franklin Flynt was born 28 April 1837 to Sanford Perry Flynt and Sarah Brown Flynt. He married Emma Brown in 1865. They had 10 children. He died 08 Aug 1913 in Winters, Runnels, Texas.

Elizabeth's parents were John Deering Ballard and Mary Ann Proctor. She married William Flynt on 19 Jan 1788 in Culpepper County, Virginia. Together they had 11 children. (Listed under William Flynt) Elizabeth died 20 Sep 1838 in Forsyth County, Rural Hall, North Carolina and was buried in the Flynt Family Cemetery.
William Flynt was the son of the Revolutionary War patriot, Richard Flynt ( 1720-1792) and his second wife, Ann Fountain (1737-1796). He also served in the Revolution. He was born 23 May 1762, in Richmond County, Virginia. William married Elizabeth Ballard (1765-1838) on 18 Jan 1788 in Culpepper County, Virginia. Together they had 11 children. The children were: Sandy Alexander (1789-1867) and his twin brother, Sanford Perry (1789-1840), James (1790-1815), John Pollard (1798-1859), Proctor B. (1799-1845),Nancy Permelia (1803-1869),William (1804-1858), Allen (1807-1866), Elizabeth B. (1805-1879), Fountain W. (1809-1880), Lucinda (B.?-D: after 1880). William died 21 Jan 1810 in Forsyth County, North Carolina. He was buried alongside other family members on the property of the Historic Flynt House in Rural Hall, N.C. After some of the property was sold, the Flynt Family Cemetry was moved next to the Kingswood United MethodistChurch.
Sandy Alexander and his twin brother, Sanford Perry Flynt were born in Culpepper County, Virginia on 29 April 1789 to William Flynt (1762-1810) and Elizabeth Ballard Flynt (1765-1838). Sandy's siblings were: His twin brother Sanford Perry, James, John, Proctor, Nancy Permelia, William, Allen, Elizabeth, Fountain W., and Lucinda Flynt. Sandy Alexander Flynt was married on 11 March 1815 in Stokes County, N.C. to Maria Magdalene Salome Hauser, (AKA Sally), (B: 1796-1844). They had 14 children together. The children were: Salena Catherine, Minerva Magdalena, Sarah Maria "Sally", William Sandy, George Hauser, Evaline Elizabeth, Sandy Thomas, James Hauser, John Proctor, Lucinda Nancy, Samuel R., Martha A., Sanford R., and Romulus Briton Flynt. Sandy's second wife was Johanna "Rebecca" Leinbach Transou. They did not have any children. Sandy Alexander died at the age of 77 on 30 March 1867 in Pffaftown, Forsyth County, N.C. and did draft a will.
