2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Unknown Person
Unknown Person
This person appears to be in uniform, and may be native american descent.

This person was with a group of photos kept by my grandmother, who received it from her mother when she passed away. Our family believes it could be William Armstrong, my grandmother's father, or James Morris, my grandmother's grandfather. William Armstrong was married to Margurette Mae Morris in Lyon Co., KS. The had one child, Edith, before divorcing. Margurette's father was James Morris, married to Henrietta Van Cleave. They had one child. James was killed in El Dorado, KS ca. 1887.
If anyone can identify this picture, please contact me. Thank you.

Perhaps Nazi soldier and family

My father, Dixon Etheridge, brought this photo home from the European Theater of World War II. My mother kept it along with family photos. I suspect my father removed it from the body of a dead German soldier. The stains on the photo appear to be blood.

If this is your family or relative I will gladly give the photo to you. On the back of the photo in green ink is written "Hab uns immer Lieb!"
Military man
Military man
Man in Military uniform (WWI or WWII?) with woman (probably his wife) by his side.(possibly a Bartlett)

Mystery photo #5 given to my aunt in Three River, MI by the elderly neighbor who says that she is related to us. The photo was in an envelope with some postcards which were dated 1926 and sent to my great-great grandmother Bartlett in Cadillac, MI. Does anyone recognize these people?
Unknown Uniform

Can you identify the uniform? I think it was Civil War, but what unit was it? Photo was in a box of old SHADE stuff given me by a Shade cousin. If you can identify the uniform please email me .
