my grandma Bessie Shaffer Drake
This is my grandmother Bessie Drake.Maiden name is Shaffer and was borned in Roane county wv in 1888.She married my grandfather George W Drake in 1906 and had kids James,Edith,Harry, and Rosie. She died in 1918.She could be related to Elkanah Shaffer, son of William H Schaffer and Rachel Harper.Elkana Married Sarah Ellen Goad.
Aunt Rosie lived with Elkana and Sarah for a while when Gramma Bessie died.Elkana was also known as "cane" and as Lee Shaffer.Not sure of mom and dad.If anybody knows pleses let me know.Thanks
