2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

A loving mother of four and grandmother of so many grandchildren.
She worked in the Galesville Pharmacy and store for many years, kept a great house in Galesville, raised 4 successful children and loved animals - giving often to the local humane society and other animal care organizations. She loved listening to 78 records and the radio on the large stereo. She was very good with fabric, quilting, crossword puzzles, complex puzzles on the table, cooking and so much more.
(Hopefully others more knowing can update with much more info...)

A wonderful father and grandfather, Vernon ("Swede") Severson worked at the Galesville Creamery and later was the POSTMAN for a long time.
He was very well versed in Electronics and Repairing anything, he had a home TV and RADIO REPAIR business with people from all over dropping off items that needed repair and he was very successful. He had many hobbies, including, but not limited to: SSB HAM RADIO, R/C Radio Controlled Aircraft building, stereo sound, Sony Video Camera / Refuge Nature recordings, ping pong, elaborate model train setups, etc.
He was a great card and poker player... able to read people and keep track of cards easily and often let a child win at the last possible moment - only to smile and say "well played" or "nice game young man" and head off to make the family a couple of pizzas on a Sunday afternoon family gathering.
He believed in quality over quantity and took great pride in saving up and buying the better equipment and keeping his yard and lawn up.
