Mrs. Violet B. Brown, Kansas City, Mo., died Monday at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was 41.
Born in Excelsior Springs September 18, 1930, Mrs. Brown had lived in this area most of her lifetime, moving to Kansas City three years ago.
She leaves her husband, Richard H. Brown of the home; three sons Edward M. Wilson, Eldon, Mo.; John E. Wilson of the U.S. Marine Corps, and Robert H. Wilson of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa A. Pogue, Fresno, Calif.; two stepsons, Danny A. Brown and Michael R. Brown, Eldon; three brothers, John H. Strode, Excelsior Springs; Walton R. Strode,Valdosta, Ga., and Edwin R. Strode Baltimore, Md.; five sisters, Mrs. Allene Boyer, Lawson; Mrs. Pauline Teegarden, Eldon; Mrs. Oma Wright, Excelsior Springs; Mrs. Madeline Switzer, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Dorothy Mautino, Independence, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Prichard Funeral Home; burial in the Munkirs Cemetery west of here.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 o'clock Wednesday evening."

He was born 2 Jul 1887 in Excelsior Springs, Clay, Missouri, and died 4 Sep 1947 in Excelsior Springs, Clay, Missouri. He was buried 6 Sep 1947 in Munkirs Cemetery, when she was 16 and he was 21 and had 10 children, six daughters and four sons, with him. Cora Anna died of cancer of the uterus, which she suffered from for three years, on May 8, 1945 at 4:53 p.m., in Excelsior Springs, Clay, Missouri when she was 53 and was buried on 10 May 1945, in Munkirs Cemetery, Mosby, Clay, Missouri.
