2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

He went to world war 1 as a stretcher bearer and ambulance driver in 1915- was wounded- after rehabilitation took up a solder settlement farm at Dreeite and married Bertha Hindle. Later he moved into Colac to become the Rawlie man. He and Bertha had three children, Nellie, Margaret and Robert but Margaret and Robert succumbed to the RH factor and are buried in Alvie cemetary. Gus worked in munitions in Melbourne during ww2 and was certified TPI, due to the earlier injuried neverhaving healed, in the 1950's. He died suddenly in Colac in 1956.
