Dora was the third wife of Robert Gearing Cole. She was born in 1863 Scotland and was baptized in 1864 at Liverpool London. She and Robert lived at The Gurdies on the Cole nursery property, Victoria, Australia. Her father was Walter Roberts Sandbach, a Mariner, and his wife, Jane Spence.
