He was a gentleman and a scholar, he loved life and his son. He was a great musician and a gifted writer. I would like to say words sprung from his pen, but he would argue the vernacular and complain that it was not melancholy enough-Todd would have said something like " the words flowed from his pen like blood from an exsanguinated goat." The world was a better place with him in it and a smaller place without him.
