Great-Grandmother
This is a photo of my great-grandmother - Bessie Louise (Raines) Weiesnbach. She was born in Iowa to Charles Henry Raines and Ida Lena Steinmetz. She married William Leory Weiesnbach in Iowa, in 1906. The family traveled to Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma; where William died in Tulsa during 1938. Bessie married three more times. Her last marriage was to Charles Nichols. They made their home in Joplin, Missouri until his death. Bessie's children then moved her to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be near them. In March 1981 Bessie died at the age of 94 years old in Tulsa.

My grandpa, who is Louis Edward Raines, told my mother when I was born that I looked and acted just like her. My grandpa didn't talk much about her as her history was tragic. But I feel really close to her always thinking about her and wonder. Anyone have a story about her I would love to hear it thanks.
