Permelia (Lee) & Thomas Greer Carr Jr.
This picture and data was sent to me thanks to Mrs. Marjorie J. Reddick. Permelia (Lee) married Thomas in 1850 in Marion County, Iowa and they had 10 children, 2 of whom died early: Albert; Nancy Victoria who married Wm Payne Smith; Mary Ellen; John; Benjamin; George; Ella; Laura; Samuel F.; and Lillian, who married a Mr. Mathis, all of whom were born in Marion County, Iowa. Thomas Jr.'s parents are buried at the Liberty Cemetery in Orange County, Indiana. Sometime after 1880, Thomas Jr. and Permelia moved to Louisiana. He died 24 Dec 1909 at the Belluevue Plantation on the edge of Jeanerette. After his death, Permelia moved back to Iowa to be near her children. She died 20 July 1912 and she and at least two of her children are buried at the Overton Cemetery in [Tracy], Knoxville Twp, Marion County, Iowa.
