Gloria Jean Bragg was born on July 25, 1932 in Los Angeles to parents Harold Ritter Bragg (1898-1954) and Mary Alice McMurray (1896-1973). She had a sister Mary Helen Bragg (1936-2016).
She attended David Starr Jordan High School in Long Beach, California, USA.
Gloria was married to Jimmie D Cozart (1930–2006) and together the couple had a son, Adam James Cozart (1974-1997).

Jimmie D Cozart was a Native American born on November 29, 1930 in Long Beach, CA to parents Johnnie Perry Cozart (1901-1953) and Anne Clark (1904-1965).
He grew up in Long Beach and attended Polytechnic High School there.
Late in life he served as a Navy Master Chief Gunnersmater for 32 years. He was a veteran of both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
