2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

She used to babysit me from very young and treated me like her own. She lived on a ranch, Kahua Ranch in Ewa Beach with her husband Keoki, son Pat. Pat eventually got married to a girl named Linda. They lived next to a family named Dudoit. They had 2 kids, Buddy and Lei. Buddy taught me how to hunt. My adopted grandma showed me how to eat poi, black crab (a'ama) and was very living and kind. I would visit her even in my teen and young adult years as I considered her my closest grandma. She had a small pond in her front yard that had a large umbrella tree or he'e tree that I used to shoot munjidoes in. Cats would follow me because they knew they would get to eat. I remember we used to lay this army blanket on the floor eat potato chips and drink soda while watching wrestling, Hawaii style.
