Both photos handed down from an elderly cousin whose father was a Brenneisen and mother was a Meyer both of whom emigrated from Germany in the late 18
The picture is of two young men wearing a German uniforms. The back of one of the pictures says
"Brenneisen" and gives the name and adress of a photographer in Karlsrube, Germany. Since my Brenneisen family came to America in 1867, the picture would have to have been made prior to that time. I'm hoping someone can identify the soldiers and tell me about the uniforms they are wearing! They are believed to be "Brenneisen" relatives.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
