Norma Jean McMahel of Lakeland, Polk County, FL was born on September 26, 1922, and died at age 86 years old on February 12, 2009. Norma McMahel was buried at Florida National Cemetery
Section 402 Site 1930 6502 Sw. 102nd Ave., in Bushnell.

Vernon O Mcmahel was born on February 18, 1918 in MT Carmel, Illinois to parents Cloice C McMahel (1888-1955) and Sadie Cole (born 1891). He had siblings Jenette, Clarence, Wendel, and Imogene Mcmahel.
He lived in Mount Carmel, Wabash, Illinois and enlisted on May 25, 1942 in East St Louis Illinois. Vernon served in the US Army Air Force from May 25, 1942 until November 4, 1945. He was a First Class Private in the Air Force and is a World War II Veteran.
He was the best grandpa in the world and loved his family and loved the Lord God. Vernon also loved golf, shuffle board, and working with his hands.
