Dorothy Stogdill Wilfawn Sep 23, 1912 - Dec 16, 1998 Bloomfield, Iowa

Grandma's maiden name was Dorothy Steen she had five sisters and one brother. She married my biological grandpa Stogdill and then married Raymond Wilfawn. Leonard Stogdill my biological grandfather and grandma had a son Hadley Leon Stogdill who was my father. Grandma was a sweet grandma. Was always making me clothes and all of her own beautiful dresses. She was a wonderful seamstress! She kept a beautiful home and loved decorating. Always up with fashions. Grandma was also a wonderful cook and baked awesome pies and always my fav cherry and gooseberry! She was a little thing but full of spunk. You didn't cross her or you'd hear about it. She had a son Hadley Leon Stogdill (my biological father) and a daughter Lorene Alvena. Grandma loved making baby quilts for all the friends and neighbors that were due to have a baby. Grandma also played the harp ( harmonica). And played with Grandpa Raymond Wilfawn while he played the fiddle. They would get together with friends and family and have a jam session. I have a cd I had copied from a tape where my grandma left me a message at the end of them singing songs. A treasure for sure.
