Преподаватель русского языка.
Родился в семье обрусевшего поляка. Во время Первой мировой войны сражался в рядах русской армии в чине офицера. В эмиграции в США. С 1924 преподавал физическую культуру в Питтсбургском университете. Перешёл на преподавание русского языка в том же университете. Основал в Питтсбурге Русское литературное общество. После смерти Xарского остались неопубликованные рукописи воспоминаний, хранившиеся в Питтсбургском университете.
