Joseph was the son of Duncan (b 1825) and Susana Ward. His siblings were Edward (b 1872), Christiana(b 1870), John( b. 1873), Duncan(b 1864), and James (b 1875). I believe that The Father died in 1878. According to Canada's 1880 census Susana was a widow at that time. Joseph married Florence (Flora, Flo) Stevens. Their children were Dorothy (b.1894 and was married to George Summers), Donald (b 1896 and was married to Caroline Townes), Bruce Edward )b 10-08-1898 and was married to Eathyl Leona Burke). Bruce and Eathyl (toots as grandpa called her) are my grandparents. My Mother is Wilma Jean Avery.
