Waxahachie Graduating Class of 1919
This is a photo of the 1919 Graduating Class of Waxahachie High School in Texas. I don't have any family members in this photo. It was included with some other items that I bought at an auction in 1992.

Jones, John Dosson in the center
John Dosson Jones is the man in the center of this photo. The other two are unknown. John, or "Doss" as he was known, was born in Arkansas, maybe Sevier County, on March 26, 1852. His parents were Pettus B. and Elizabeth Ann Jones. Doss married Eliza Dickson/Dixon and they were the parents of Robert Lee Jones who was born 04 November 1880 in Red River County, Texas. Eliza died soon after her son was born. Doss then married JoAnna Aneica Rutherford. The family lived in Red River County, Texas from prior to the 1880 Census until prior to the 1910 Census when Doss was listed as a widower and was living in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. Doss died there about 1915 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, McCurtain County, Oklahoma.
