John Everett Holderfield
John served as a cook in France in the Army during WWI. He entered the Army September 19, 1917 and served at HQ Co. 330 Inf. until October 5, 1917. He then went to SN Det. 330 Inf. until his discharge. He made the rank of Pvt. 1st Class January 9, 1918, AEF June 12, 1918. His honorable discharge was February 13, 1919. This info was found in 'Ohio Soldiers, Sailors, Marines in WWI'. John was the son of John Wesley Holderfield & Matilda Belle McClanahan. John married Eleanor Mary Baumgartner on September 18, 1917.
