Son of Ollie Clarence "Jimmy" Brown and Edna Beth (maiden unknown). Ollie Clarence was born in Newton Co., MS in 1907 to William Thomas Brown and Maggie Walters. He moved to the Fort Worth area as a young, single man. He met Edna Beth (born 1918) there and they married. Ollie Clarence favored the name "Jimmy" for some reason and used it most of his adult life. He made his living playing fiddle in clubs with various bands around the Fort Worth area. Some family members indicate that he played on occasion at the Filthy McNasty Bar in the Old Stockyards of Fort Worth. Ollie Clarence (Jimmy) died June 21, 1972 of a heart attack at his fishing site in Sabine Co., TX. He was buried in Greenwood Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. Edna Beth later remarried but as of this writing has not been accounted for. She would likely be deceased by now as well. Jimmy Louis probably got his middle name from Ollie Clarence's older brother, Henry Louis Brown. Jimmy Louis married Alice Ray. She was born in 1941 and died in 1986. Alice is also interred in the Greenwood Memorial Park &Mausoleum (Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. Jimmy Louis is likely buried there as well although the plate on the headstone has never been updated to show his death. By the time of his passing, his mother may have also been deceased and there is no indication that he and Alice had any children thus the recording of the death on the head plate may have not been made. Ollie Clarence and family show up in Tarrant Co., in the 1940 Federal Census with Jimmy Louis being the only child in the household. There is not indication of any other siblings born to the family.
