Eiland Bowie USArmy WWII
Eiland Hunter Bowie from Bonham TX as a young soldier in the USArmy in 1943. Continuing the tradition of serving our country, Eiland is the 5th Great Grandson of Elisha Hulse(1725-1796)of Goshen, NY who served as a commissioner with General George Washington at Valley Forge during the American Revoluton.
William D Mcdoulett of Castro Valley, Alameda County, CA was born on July 31, 1926, and died at age 62 years old on May 29, 1989.

Harva [Estep] Hulse, born 4-15-1863. Daughter of John harve Estep and Nancy [Salyer] Estep. Harva married, Marcus A. Hulse 6-14-1883. She died 3-2-1893 in Plano, Collin co. Tx. Her Children in photo are, William Lewis b.5-25-1884, Rube Roy b.4-10-1886, Minnie Elonra b. 3-11-1888 and Charley Austin b.1-11-1890.

Bowie Home before and after bought
This photo shows the Bowie family home in Honey Grove, TX (located just to the north of the football stadium). Eiland Bowie bought the home for his Mom, Mattie Hulse Bowie with his savings from his military salary earned during WWII. Obvious are the details of the work the family did to restore the old home. The child in the first photo is Linda Clara Creagor also spelled Criger on her rocking horse. It was taken in 1945. Mattie Bowie lived in the home and raised her younger children and two grandchildren there. The house was torn down after her death and a new Bowie home (Joe Bowie) now stands on the spot,
