2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
I never knew him, my grandparents divorced when my dad (his oldest son) was 4... I found his obituary TOMMIE EDWARD GRAVELY Deaths 02/06/2006Oct. 11, 1927-Feb. 5, 2006Private burial will be held at a later date under the direction of Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo MO.Master Sgt. Tommie Edward Gravely, retired, was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Canton, Ga., the son of the late Roy and Lula (Arnold) Gravely. He died Feb. 5, 2006, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 25 days.He spent his early years in Canton, Ga. He drove a truck for Marietta Construction Company in Marietta, Ga., before entering the U.S. Air Force, where he devoted his life to the service of his country. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in the 1970s with over 20 years of dedicated service. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for another 20 years. He was an honest, hard working person. He never failed to take care of any responsibility.He resided in Cameron MO at the time of his death.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Barbara.Survivors include his children: Jerri A. Daley, Antelope, Calif., Judy M. Moton, and Tommie A. Gravely, both of Quincy, Calif, and Katherine A. Gravely, and James R. Gravely, both of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; plus other family and friends who will all truly miss him.
