Clyde Cook and mother, Lena Cook
Clyde "Buck" Cook and his mother, Lena Ethel (Tribbey) Cook in Hamilton, Ohio in the 1940's.
Lena was the daughter of George Tribbey and Nancy Farmer. Lena was born in Indiana and raised up in Oxford, Ohio. But I also found Lena in the 1900 census records in Chicago, Illinois. She was living with her father's sister and her family.
Lena's other children were George Henry 1904, Thelma "Peggy" Henry 1909, Charles Ray "Jinks" Cook (or Henry?) 1916 and Fred William "Bud" Cook (or Henry?) 1919 [my maternal grandfather].
Clyde's father was his mother's second husband, Charles Cook. Lena married Charles in June 1920. Clyde was born in 1922.
This photo was shared by Clyde's wife, Lida. There is a mystery to Clyde's real father. His mother was supposed to have told her daughter on her deathbed in 1944 to tell Clyde that his real father was Pete Sturgeon (or a name similiar to the sound). Clyde was suppose to have met his real father sometime after he was married.
Date & Place: in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio United States
